Tony Kim, MD, MPH
Dr Tony Kim was born in Korea but grew up mostly in Southern California before attending the Air Force Academy and then serving on active duty for 27 years until 2019. He and his wife have 2 biological and 2 adopted children (from Korea) and they have been around the world on various assignments with the military. Over the years, Tony & Lisa have been on numerous short term missions to Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.
Tony now serves as an Emergency Physician in Colorado Springs and is honored to serve CMDA as a leader since the fall of 2024. He also volunteers at a free clinic, Open Bible Medical Clinic, in downtown Colorado Springs.
Shay Moore, MD
Dr. Carolyn Shay Moore is a family physician, Air Force veteran, and mother of 3. After completing medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, Shay went to residency at St Louis University/Scott Air Force Base. She was then stationed in Albuquerque for three years before getting stationed at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in 2015. She retires from the AF Reserve Summer of 2025, and works in geriatrics. Shay and her husband Brian enjoy attending Woodmen Valley Chapel, cheering their kids on at TCA band concerts and track meets, and family movie nights.
Sandy White
Sandy White is a Colorado native who loves spending time in our picturesque outdoors! Prior to college, she spent most of her time competing on horseback in equestrian events, in addition to showing horses in the AQHA world. She graduated from Lamar Community College with an Associates in Biology and went on to study nursing/pre-med at UCCS in Pueblo. She spent her professional life working in healthcare, and recently retired from Centura Health working as their Provider Relations. She has always been passionate about patient care and loved helping physicians as they care for our community. She loves gardening, horseback riding, and spending time with my grandbabies! In her spare time she volunteers for Colorado Springs Fire Department and Woodmen Valley Monument…..God is so good!!
Robert Spees, MD
Dr. Spees began work in Colorado Springs in 1998 and now works with Flagship Health specializing in outpatient Internal Medicine, and with Bristol Hospice as a Medical Director within Southern Colorado. After professing faith in Jesus Christ in 1970, Robert met Annelise at Stanford University, was married in 1977, graduated from the Drexel University Medical School in 1983, and completed residency at Albert Einstein Northern Hospital of Philadelphia. He served with the US National Health Service Corp on the Island of Saipan within the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands. He returned to work in Sonora, CA., and then, Niles, Michigan, with Southwestern Medical Clinic, before moving to Colorado. A member of CMDA since 1993, Robert and Annelise Spees, MD, pediatrics, have served in short term medical missions to Glen Allen, Alaska, and with Mission to the World to Mexico, Belize, Honduras and Costa Rica. Robert has been privileged to serve as CMDA chapter treasurer since 2002 in Colorado Springs, as the Lord provides. They are thankful for 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren.
