I was on a call with my friend Neal in Madagascar when I received this text:

Ordinarily, I might reply as I always have, pointing to resources, giving some advice, and approaching it pastorally while also being willing to stand firm on the fact that the student could not lead one of our chapters.

But this time I was eager to help with some simple tips I had JUST LEARNED days prior.
I got off the phone with Neal and called to share what Seth Minton, DO, OB-GYN and his wife Brittany had shared with our Campus Advisors only 5 days ago!
The core of Seth’s advice is to allow Mormons/LDS to share their beliefs, especially their answers to these four questions:
- Who is God
- Who is Jesus?
- Who is man?
- What is salvation?
My mind immediately wondered what all people who call themselves Christians would say to this. Those four questions are so vital to how we live. And how we live probably answers those four questions even better than we could verbally answer them!

Answers fly through my head regarding these questions, but mostly just in the form of Scripture passages: Gen. 1:1; Nu. 23:19; Is. 26:4; 33:22; 64:8; Mt. 28:20 just the first ones that come to mind in answer to the first question.
We shouldn’t be surprised when God weaves situations to what we have just learned about Him. But I confess, I do find myself in awe and wanting to share with others, simply praise Him, and pause with thanksgiving. God equips us. Even when we don’t know what we are playing and when we will face action. Leaning in to opportunities where He can equip us is exactly what I hope you find yourself doing so far in 2025. May you find the equipping you receive to be put into action as I did this week and so often do.
Your support certainly equips me, as it does so many more people like those pictured above.
