NatCon 2026: Loveland, CO

My main role at our National Convention, like my main role with CMDA, is getting people connected–to information, to opportunities, to people, and more. Zooming in on that, my goal was to get 50 students/residents in attendance.

I’m excited to share that we had 60 students from the Western Region at the National Convention this year! The total nation-wide was over 230! This pic is of some of them …

The quality of the convention was again amazing. It seems Mandi and her team outdo themselves every year. I’m proud to be part of CMDA even though I feel like I really just show up and connect.

As many have shared, it was the most attended convention ever! More than a few even pointed out the fact that (ehem!) it was in the Western Region! I loved the conversation on Saturday night where different members were pushing ideas where we could hold the next convention in the west. I’m certainly not opposed to that!

Thanks to donations of over $15,000, we were able to give students over $11,000. It also gave us a great jump on 2027, which will be in Cincinnati/N. Kentucky. It was a great conference there in 2023 & a really cool downtown Cincinnati that I’m looking forward to exploring.

You can register for NatCon 2027 at natcon.cmda.org.

The best part of the 2026 National Convention, though … having my bride, Sherry, there! 🙂
